Start up Uare.ai raises $10 million

Digital immortality start up Uare AI and founder Robert LoCascio raised $10.3 million in funding led by Mayfield and Boldstart Ventures, according to Techcrunch. There is growing interest in the use of personal AI in digital immortality with digital twins for older people and also professionals in the prime of their careers.  LoCascio has the founder and CEO of LivePerson, a publicly traded company that specialized in chatbots for businesses.

LoCascio’s latest start up was originally called Eternos.life focusing on the digital afterlife for people at the end of their life, but pivoted to a more broader market with digital twins for influencers, CPA’s, and other professionals in their prime.

In the Venture with Grace podcast this week (November 2025), LoCascio said that they have around 700 clients and a beta product to be launched soon.

To a long time observer of the digital immortality industry, this is a similar pivot that StoryFile made into an enterprise SaaS product for marketing (started with creating digital twins of Holocast survivors).  Same with HeartLegacy into an email marketing tool (started with filming seniors).  It is tough to make money on just the legacy work, and especially if you raise investment money, the business has to pivot to a broader market.  

But we see what motived the founders in the first place, and we think the future of digital immortality as a business market is emerging.  So, I think there will be a rebound to the original mission eventually.  Until then, these companies’ marketing focuses on the more immediate markets.

I predict once the tools for digital immortality (like Uare.ai) get more advanced and mainstream, more people will seek life story (& professional wisdom) digitalization from companies like MemoryVideo.com using human interviewers to put on their personal (not general) AI that they own. There will be an ecosystem of low touch tech and higher touch services. It’s only a matter of time.
